Jennifer Bauer, Family Nurse Practitioner at the South Bend Clinic’s Main Campus, graduated from Valparaiso University with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice Degree in May of 2014. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner Certification from Purdue University Calumet in August of 2003. Jennifer graduated from Purdue University Lafayette, Indiana in May of 2000 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Jennifer previously worked in The South Bend Clinic ENT department as a new F.N.P. back in 2003. She has over 6 years of experience in ENT and loves working with patients of all ages. She is passionate about making each experience with patients as positive as it can be and lives by this quote by Mother Theresa: “Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.”
Jennifer is also compassionate about teaching nursing students. She has worked full time as an Associate Clinical Professor for IUSB for six years and has recently taken a faculty position with Saint Mary’s College effective fall of 2016. She is excited to continue to help form future nurses and pursue research in the areas of health and wellness.
Jennifer is credentialed by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She is a member of the AANP, Sigma Theta Tau, and Midwest Nursing Research Society.
Jennifer is abundantly blessed as a wife and mother. She has been married to her husband Kevin for 12 years and they have 5 beautiful children ages 10 and under. Jennifer and Kevin love watching their children participate in all of their favorite activities and taking trips to the zoo. They are active in their Queen of Peace Catholic Church where Jennifer is part of The Elizabeth Ministry and Women’s Faith and Fellowship Bible Study Group.
