Dr. Patel is a cardiologist at The South Bend Clinic Main Campus. He went to medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas and completed his undergraduate studies at University of Houston.
Dr. Patel’s interest in the medical field began at the age of 5 when he would follow his father at work. He saw a plastic model of the heart on a desk and his curiosity in cardiovascular disease began. From science fair projects on smoking cessation to enrolling at the Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions, his career path only solidified his desire to be a Cardiologist. During his training, he was given very valuable advice: “Treat everybody like you would treat your own mother.” That statement has imprinted in him a desire to not only treat with medications, but also with his heart.
Dr. Patel is a member of the American Medical Association and an associate fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
In his spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys hiking with his wife and German shepherd dog. He is an avid sports fan and spends his time rooting for his hometown teams.
Dr. Patel will be practicing at The South Bend Clinic Main Campus.
