Dermatologist Tina Kinsley, M.D. graduated from USUHS F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland and completed her residency at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium. She earned her B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Michigan.
Tina says her interest in dermatology began in her teenage years when she struggled with acne and flat warts and her dermatologist made them vanish. When she went to medical school, she tried to keep an open mind, but loved everything about dermatology, and no other specialty even came close. She says the variety of diagnoses, the procedures, the intellectual challenge of being a good dermatologist, and most importantly, the patients – are all the things she enjoys on a daily basis. She adds that it’s nice to make a living doing something you love.
She is a Fellow with the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of the following professional organizations: National Board of Physicians and Surgeons, International Peeling Society, Military Dermatologist Association and the American Society for Laser, Medicine, and Surgery.
In her free time, Tina likes to hang out with her cat and dog, her boyfriend and his son, and lift really heavy things! She is very accomplished in strongman and is an active competitor in the sport. She took second in the country and third in the world in her age and weight class. She also owns a powerlifting and strongman gym in Michigan.
She will be practicing at The South Bend Clinic’s North Eddy Street Campus downtown.
