Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers or “soft-tissue fillers” are temporary FDA approved and are used to soften or add volume to facial lines and wrinkles or folds and creases. Dermal fillers can also be used to make scars look less noticeable. They are all non animal based products that last 6-12 months depending on the filler agent used, and area that is being treated.

Common Treatment Areas:

  • Nasolabial folds  
  • Marionette lines
  • Cheeks
  • Corners of the mouth
  • Glabellar lines (furrows between brows/often used in conjunction with Botox/Dysport/Xeomin)
  • Lips (including the vertical lines around lips)


Restylane is composed of soft hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the skin. It is ideal for mild to moderate lines or wrinkles and generally lasts up to 6 months.

Juvederm Ultra Plus XC

Juvederm is composed of hyaluronic acid gel, a naturally occurring substance found in the skin. It is ideal for use in medium or deeper lines such as the nasolabial folds, cheeks, or scars and generally lasts 9-12 months.


Perlane is composed of hyaluronic acid and is manufactured by the same makers of Dysport and Restylane.

Perlane is a slightly larger particle than Restylane so it is ideal in moderate to deep lines and generally lasts 9-12 months.


Radiesse is composed of a synthetic compound of calcium based microspheres in a water-based gel. It is ideal for moderate to severe winkles and for adding volume or fill out hollow cheeks and generally lasts 9-12+ months.


Belotero is composed of soft cohesive gel and is ideal for fine lines around mouth or on forehead. Treatments generally lasts 9-12 months.


Sculptra Aesthetic is a facial injectable made from poly-L-lactic acid, which helps to replace lost collagen. It helps to correct shallow to deep facial wrinkles, and folds that appear with aging by replacing lost collagen.
