South Bend Clinic Visitor Guidance During COVID-19
Masks Requirements — Updated February 13, 2023
In order to provide our patients and staff with the highest quality of care, as well as comply with the OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard, we continue to take thoughtful, careful steps for everyone’s safety.
As of February 13, masks will be optional at all South Bend Clinic facilities, with a few exceptions:
- Patients with any upper respiratory symptoms are required to wear a mask throughout their visit.
- Staff/providers must wear a face mask upon a patient’s or staff/provider’s request.
- Upon request of staff/provider, patients and visitors accompanying them into an exam or procedure room will be required to wear masks.
- Patients and visitors to the ambulatory surgery center must wear a mask during their visit.
Please remember that as state and federal authorities release updated health and safety guidance and requirements, SBC will continue to review and update our coronavirus-related policies and procedures as warranted and inform you of any changes.
COVID 19 Testing
South Bend Clinic patients will be referred to their Primary Care Physician for evaluation. For non-South Bend Clinic patients, please feel free to visit our Immediate Care Center located at 301 E. Day Rd., Mishawaka for evaluation.
If you need testing for travel, please obtain an order from your primary care provider and visit one of our seven lab locations.
