If we eat well, exer­cise, devel­op healthy rela­tion­ships with our fam­i­ly and com­mu­ni­ty, and have mean­ing­ful work, we will have the best oppor­tu­ni­ty to be healthy. As much as pos­si­ble, I encour­age my patients to pur­sue non-med­ical treat­ments for their problems.

I chose fam­i­ly med­i­cine because I love doing every­thing in med­i­cine: all dif­fer­ent ages and types of problems.

Personal Interests

I spend a lot of time with my grow­ing fam­i­ly. We love to hike, ride bikes, play games and sports, and read books (espe­cial­ly Har­ry Pot­ter). On my own I like to make music (play­ing gui­tar or piano, and singing in choir at my church), exer­cise, do projects around the house, and spend time with friends.
