It has been a privilege to care for the women of Michiana for more than 20 years. The field of OB/GYN offers opportunities to help women in reproductive development, pregnancy and childbirth, and in the many hormonal transitions that occur during a woman’s life. Each generation offers unique medical and hormonal challenges during treatment of medical conditions as well as during the journey to wellness and general health. I truly cherish the personal, private, and special relationships developed over these years and continue to enjoy helping women improve their health, treat medical conditions, and achieve wellness and happiness. This involves treating traditional medical disorders as well as caring for the mind and spirit. I truly value each woman’s perspective and input into their concerns, as well as their choices in treatment strategies.
Sloan Shah, MD, FACOG
Obstetrics & Gynecology
I enjoy the full spectrum of women’s reproductive health care from puberty/childhood to the menopause years, encompassing reproductive health, menstrual issues, preconception care, fertility, infertility management, general and high-risk obstetrics, obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound, and hormonal disorders including menopause and sexual disorders. My training includes surgical and medical treatment of high-risk pregnancies and deliveries. I offer treatment of all surgical gynecological conditions, including minimally invasive approaches and the DaVinci Robotic hysterectomy. I have special interests in menopause and hormonal transitions, menstrual disorders, cancer prevention, and the management of cancer surveillance in high-risk women or those with cancer genes.
I have lived in the South Bend region for over 20 years with my family, including my husband, Dr. Raj Shah, and my two children. We enjoy family time, vacations, and traveling together. I am a fitness and wellness/nutrition enthusiast and enjoy time at the gym and outdoor activities. Cooking, reading, and yoga are a few of my hobbies.
